Hiace (large van)

For “we want to bring everyone and all the gear,” the Hiace is the answer. It seats up to ten adults in comfort and swallows snorkel gear, surfboards, diving equipment, and large suitcases with room to spare. It’s an overwhelmingly strong choice for company trips, seminar and club camps, three-generation family travel with relatives, and SUP or marine-sports group tours.

At ¥13,000 a day, split among ten people that’s just ¥1,300 each. Compared with taxis or buses, it dramatically lowers group travel costs. Being able to move together in one vehicle — to the Island Terminal, Ishigaki Port, the snorkel points beyond Yonehara Beach, or the glass-boat dock at Kabira Bay — is a big appeal of large-group travel. Meeting up and parting are smooth, and the ride itself keeps everyone in high spirits.

The roof sits a little high, but it drives much like a minivan. A rear monitor supports maneuvering in parking lots. Pickup at Ishigaki Airport and in Ishigaki city, with free airport transfer. Staff meet you in the airport lobby in time with your arriving flight, so even a big group can start without getting lost.
